About the Founder and Executive Director
Edna Olive, Ph.D., Ed.D.
 
Dr. Edna Olive is dedicated to inspiring and serving others, particularly children and those who serve them.  Having planned to be an educator since the age of 7, her career has focused on the education and development of children.  Dr. Olive's efforts have led to the enhancement of programs, organizations, and professionals who are also committed to serving youth.  Her professional experiences have spanned over twenty-five (25) years during which time she has served children, their families, and organizations/programs in a number of capacities.  These include teacher, curriculum developer, state education officer, principal, adjunct professor, director of education, and executive director. 
 
Distinguished in the fields of elementary, secondary, and special education, Dr. Olive holds multiple degrees from The American University and The George Washington University including Masters of Education, Educational Specialist, and Doctor of Education.  Her numerous accomplishments include published professional writer, Secretary of The Board of Directors of Reclaiming Youth International, Inc., consulting editor for Reclaiming Children and Youth, Program Administrator and Senior Trainer for the Life Space Crisis Intervention Institute, Trainer of Trainers in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and well-noted presenter at international conferences including the Youth Off The Streets Conference in NSW, Australia, The Black Hills Seminars and The Council for Exceptional Children conferences. Dr. Olive is also a certified Personal, Professional and Spiritual Life Coach
 
Dr. Olive believes serving others must be a calling.  She views the charge of service as a movement of which she is privileged to be a part.  Dr. Olive understands the unique challenges of serving and inspiring others.  She remains devoted to meeting the needs of both children and adults.  Dr. Olive is especially dedicated to serving adults who care for and about our youth.
