This 1 or 2-day workshop examines strategies for communicating with youth in times of crisis.  These strategies are designed to assist staff with:

1) de-escalating potentially dangerous situations

2) communicating care for students when they are in conflict and turmoil,

3) maintaining the ability to remain calm and focused during student crises,

4) understanding the reasons for acting-out behaviors in order to facilitate problem resolution and behavioral change in students.
